We enjoyed staying in an old Convent very close to the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. The view into the garden from the balcony was lovely, and right opposite the Boboli Gardens. I would only recommend it if you have very little luggage and want a Renaissance Florentine experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. We were given a much appreciated welcome cup of coffee on arrival.
The access to the hotel is very awkward...it is a restricted driving area, very narrow cobbled street and up 45 enormous stairs. Carrying luggage was exhausting. The rooms are large and smelly with a very odd bathroom. The shower has no floor surround, so the whole floor floods when you shower.
I like the Oltrarno area, and the staff was pretty friendly.
The breakfast wasn't very good, the shower was ridiculously tiny, the TV was tiny and had no English language channels. The bed wasn't too comfortable.
very convenient and very nice and very friendly and helpful
Location, charming hotel, staff was great.
Chairs and sofas need to be refurbished.
Wonderful and very helpful staff, good location, decent breakfast.
Terrible shower with a lack of water pressure and irregular hot water supply. WiFi is not free, despite what Booked.net states on the site.
It is a very quaint with beautiful decor nicely tucked away on the 2nd floor of a building that you would never suspect there is a hotel in it! The location was superb across the street from the Boboli Gardens and just down from the Pitti Palace. Easy walking to main sites. Breakfast was good and the staff were very hospitable and helpful. The room was clean and the airconditioning was welcoming. Over all we had a very nice stay and would definitely return!
Very nice localization, in the central part of the historic district of Florence. The few centuries long tradition of the building is quite impressive. The room was spacious with a large bathroom.
Equipment should be modernized. Bathrooms conditions are below present standards. The stuff, although polite, has no experience with the running of this kind of the hotel. Breakfast room is too small, overcrowded with too small tables. The breakfast offer is rather limited and served products are of quite averaged quality.
Location was nice, rooms were quite large-20' ceilings. Comfortable beds.
Even thought the rooms were quite spacious, the bathroom was tiny and frankly very inadequate. Shower stall was too small to really shower in. Walls were too thin, as we could hear the neighbor snoring ALL night.
The location in relation to Accademia Italiana where I was visiting friends at. It was also close to Palazzo Pitti, the Boboli Gardens, and La Specolla. The hotel was also very close to the center of the city and it was not that far of a walk to the rest of the city but it was far enough away that there was no city noise.
It's a charming Hotel. If you like history and nature (gardens in front of it), you'll appreciate it. No lift.
